mousesports have been denied entry into the knock-out stage following a shock 16-14 defeat to Sport in the Game on de_train.

The German giants had to win their last group match to keep their qualification hopes alive as CMAX.gg were to face bottom placed side Makeway.

But Sport in the Game, who had won just one of their group encounters, made sure to give them them hell as they ran out 16-14 winners.

The Belarusian side took full advantage of beginning the match as CT and their defense looked like the Great Wall of China as mouz took just one round in the first half.

Early in the second period, mousesports knew it was game over for them as SnG had claimed the one round they needed to stop the Germans from winning the match. The fate of both teams had already been decided, but SnG kept pushing and it eventually paid off as they posted a 16-14 win.

mousesports have now been sent packing, with Turmoil and CMAX.gg both moving on in the competition.
